How Fund Raising For School Works

TRCL specialises in good quality second hand clothing which we then sell to emerging nations, such as Latvia & Lithuania.

If you would like to arrange a collection, we will send you the required amount of plastic bags and explanatory leaflets to your school with at least a school week for you to then distribute them accordingly.

We will arrange for a collection to be made as near to the date you request, and you can specify a time if you need one.

On the day of collection, all you have to do is make sure the bags are back at the school, we will do the rest, you won’t even have to lift them onto the van, our drivers will do everything.

The bags (as a whole collection) are then weighed and we then send a cheque to the school within 14 days along with a copy of the weigh bridge ticket.

On average, our bags can hold 10kg, but we find that the bags that are returned (normally not all of them) only contain about 5kg. Just think, if all the bags were returned, as full as possible, at our current market price of 20p per kg, 100 bags could raise you £200! Obviously, the more you put in the bags, the more money you will raise.

Don’t worry if you only have a small school; why not involve the staff and even your local area in the fundraising scheme? In the past, we have had schools with only 70 pupils and staff order 700 bags to collect from the whole village!

We don’t charge anything for this service; we send the bags out free of charge and also collect them free of charge. This scheme really is so simple, and it gives your school the opportunity to raise vital funds.
